meghan + jeffrey's napa wedding (at it’s finest!)

We first met Meaghan, along with her planners, Alida and Angela, of Juliet Events (who we absolutely love working with!) way back in October of 2013. We immediately fell in love with the look they had planned for her August 2014 Napa wedding! It was timeless and elegant but definitely had a unique flair. With the finalized color scheme of gold, silver and ivory and almost all letterpress printing...we couldn't have been more excited to start designing.

We started Meaghan and Jeffery's look off with her letterpress save the date cards done in silver ink with a custom envelope liner digitally printed on gold paper that had a simple map of the wedding location in St. Helena, California. Next it was time to design the wedding invite! Here we brought in both colors of silver and gold in the printing, which was letterpress on a double thick classic Cranes card stock and die cut with rounded corners on each card. The invite was wrapped with ribbon and a mounted tag embellishment, which held the insert cards in the back. Everything was custom down to the stamps we created for them to mail with. To continue the look, most of their day of stationery was also letterpress printing with silver and gold. They had booklet programs bound with ribbon and their dinner menus...along with other items such as their table numbers, favor stickers, hotel itineraries and lots of designs for gifts given to their guests in custom hotel bags...their look was everywhere!

Their designs were also carried over to the local NJ celebration they had a month later at the Westmount County Club...for this event we designed some simple day of stationery. When both celebrations were over we were happy to create their photo thank you cards.

Along with designing their entire wedding suite, we also had the pleasure of designing the happy couple's holiday cards 2 years in a row.

**We are so proud to say that their Napa wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty!**

designing for a good cause

In between the event, wedding and corporate design jobs, we get some jobs that touch our hearts. Here are two shirts we designed for two different run/walks done for good causes.

semplicemente bellissimo

We are in LOVE with this "simply beautiful" suite we did for Amanda and Ian's June wedding with rustic Italian flair.

We started with their postcard save the date that included their monogram that this design-savvy couple designed together (talk about a personal touch!). We continued their look with a simple flat card invite which was embellished with an olive green paper band wrap that held their insert cards. For their big day, we designed various signs, menus, seating cards, table numbers, favor tags for their rosemary olive oil and thank you cards to match their look that were sprinkled with Italian wording to tie it all together.

happy earth day!

Even though we just LOVE paper...we love finding ways to reuse it too. Maybe you're a fellow paper lover or a scrapbooking bride-to-be (or maid of honor planning a shower or mom-to-be, etc)...ask us how we can make your left over mix of scrapbook sheets into envelope liners for your save the dates, wedding invites, shower invites, baby announcements...or any special event invitation! Not only will you get to reuse left over paper (always good for the environment)...you'll give your invite that extra special touch.

Want some other ways to make your invitation better for the Earth? Just ask us when we meet to chat about them.

Wishing you a Happy Earth Day! xoxo, S+B

romantic modern elegance

...these were the words used from the bride, Lauren, at our first meeting and we think her design definitely captures it! Her pocket folder invitations were printed with gold thermography, which just shimmered in the most beautiful way. We absolutely loved the mix of papers: matte cream linen for the printed cards, light gold metallic linen pocket folders and hints of metallic champagne paper. Her tag closure was embellished with a single Swarovski crystal.

Her look continued on the wedding day with her booklet programs bound with ribbon, tented escort cards (also with the crystal embellishment), menus, table numbers and itineraries for her guests staying at the hotel. The bride added a nice touch by framing the last page of their program that had a Thank You from them and an In Remembrance of those not there to celebrate.

Below are some beautiful photos of their invitations and stationery...and the happy couple, Lauren & Patrick from their August wedding last year!

first birthday fun...carnival style

We had soooo much fun designing these carnival themed first birthday invitations and day of stationery...not only because it was for Bernadette's son, Evan, but also because we love a good carnival! The invitations were mounted on a die-cut card and the decorative die-cut mailing label wrap added a perfect carnival feel. The color scheme was muted tones of the classic primary colors, giving it a slightly vintage feel. For the day of, we designed tags and signs for the "Kissing Booth" candy bar and a welcome poster along with a few other cute touches.

Here we are having a great time with one of our good friends, Kristen.

holiday cheer

Happy New Year! Over the holiday season, we had our annual dinner to celebrate...this year was at the sinfully delicious 15 Fox Place in Jersey City. We couldn't wait to plan our dinner so that we could toast the past year with a special wine made by one of our newlyweds!

Claudia and Gian, who tied the knot in June, made their own special wine that was bottled for their favors. (It wasn't ready to be opened until this time of year.) They were so thoughtful and gave us each a bottle to enjoy...and we did (it was one of the best homemade wines we have tasted!).

Here's their custom favor tag that we designed to match their look.

Cheers to a happy 2014!

XO, Shelley & Bernadette
